FREEE BBQ FRIDAY, FORMULA 1, NRL, SIX NATIONS…
10 March 2010 - It's a weekend of new beginnings with the Formula One season, the 2010 Indian Premier League Twenty20 Competition and Australia's Rugby League season all getting underway, on top of which we have the AFL Pre-Season Cup Grand Final, a full round of Six Nations Rugby, EPL and more!
We even have the first Boxing match for the year between Manny Pacquiao and Joshua Clottey at 9:00 am on Sunday morning! The first fight of the year and we will be open with full breakfast service at 9:00 am.
NRL Fans will be over the moon with this week's schedule - more live games than we'll get all year I reckon. If you want to avoid any traffic congestion on Friday, come in early and watch the first game of the season between the Eels and the Dragons LIVE at 3:30 pm. Check the schedule at www.bradmanssportsbistro.com for the full weekend schedule.
It's also a great week for cricket, with the highlights being the fourth and fifth New Zealand v Australia ODI's, the first on Thursday morning and the second on Saturday, both starting at 7:30 am, and the start of the Indian Premier League competition. The Opening Ceremony for the IPL is on Friday night at 8:00 pm.
It is probably a good weekend to stay off the streets with all of the anticipated street demonstrations, so catch the BTS or the MRT to Bradman's and stay out of people's way!
To kick the weekend off we are offering a FREE BBQ on Friday night from 7:00 pm. Just buy a 300 baht voucher for drinks and enjoy one of our free sensational barbecues of sausage sandwiches, burgers, chicken and more! Our potato salad is delicious!
Formula 1 Fans will be looking forward to the first of the new format races, and Bradman's will be the best venue to be watching the race, largely because of the great atmosphere created by Bradman's Crazy Pool! Buy a driver for just 20 baht and participate in the craziest of pools to win one or more of up to twenty prizes throughout the race! It's fun, gives EVERYONE a chance to win, and costs next to nothing.
AFL Fans who wish to plan ahead for the end of the season should be aware of the AFL exhibition match in Shanghai in October.
The Brisbane Lions AFC today announced that the Lions will face Melbourne at the Jiangwan Sports Centre in Shanghai on Sunday 17 October 2010. The stadium at the Jiangwan Sports Centre in the Yangpu District has a capacity of up to 30,000 spectators and it's hoped that two local university teams will participate in a curtain raiser to the main game.
Patrons can get very favourable rates at the same hotel the team is staying at and any patrons who wish to spend a weekend in Shanghai with dinners etc, please contact keithardie@hotmail.com.
If you are giving your staff an early minute to avoid the potential trouble on the roads, remember that the Super 14 Rugby is LIVE on Friday afternoon, followed by the FREE BBQ.
